My Goal In Blogging

I’m a child at heart, and in some ways I’m proud of the fanciful way my mind thinks because it counteracts the boring and unrealistic way in which the world sees those advanced in years. Plus, what is the definition of a kid? I’m 16, but am still pretty sure I meet the criteria of being a child. Where was I going with this?
Oh yeah, I’m fanciful and that means deep down I would be happy if a lot of people followed this blog, and I got to see a lot of the fruit of my labors benefiting my readers, but in reality (and it’s hard to keep this mindset), it doesn’t matter if one person or a hundred people ever reach this website. If it makes one person rethink their freedoms of speech and press, if it inspires one person to read and write more, if it makes one person decide to start writing a story instead of watching an episode of Netflix (which I’m not against, but I try to do in moderation,) than it was all worth it. By the way, if you ever think I’m trading writing from the heart with writing for numbers, please shoot me a thoughtful comment as a reminder. In fact, I welcome all comments as long as they are thoughtful. (Thoughtful doesn’t mean you agree with me, but rather respect me, remembering that everyone deserves respect.) I can't wait to start this journey with you!
